Hello blog readers! Yes, I’m breaking my self-imposed black-out on “chatty” posts by sharing some good news — and asking a big, big favour.
Last week I found out that Reading Matters had been longlisted in the Arts & Culture category* of the 2015 UK Blog Awards. The awards are designed to give individual professionals, whether freelance or working for a company, to “be recognised for their social media achievements through blogging, with the chance to network and be inspired by other industry bloggers”.
There’s no prize as such, but after 10 years of tapping away at this computer (I’m on laptop number three, by the way — that puts things into context, doesn’t it, hehehe), it would be a lovely thing to put on my CV.
So, here’s where you can help — whether you’re a first-time visitor or have been following me for years — please consider voting for me. All you need to do is go here and follow the instructions. It only takes a few seconds.
If the link doesn’t work, please just cut and paste the following: http://www.blogawardsuk.co.uk/candidates/Reading-Matters
The vote opened yesterday and closes on 1 December. I’ll let you know how I get on.
* Fellow book blogger Simon Savidge of Savidge Reads is also in the same category. You can vote for him here.
